Not very precise, but good set., November 30, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: York Barbell 300 lb G-2 Dual Grip Olympic Weight Set With Bar & Collars (Misc.) The set was working great until I noticed that the weight I worked with at home didn't match what I worked with elsewhere. So I took the set to a place to get weighed. Turns out, the bar was only 35 pounds. I then noticed that it doesn't say you get a 45 pound bar in the description on Amazon, on York's site, or any other site. All it says is that you get a 7" olympic bar. If you read the descriptions of the hi-end York sets, it will say you get an American made 45 pound olympic bar. Guess I got the cheap Chinese made 35 pound olympic bar.
I contacted the vendor, Unique Fitness Concepts, and they quickly resolved the situation. They have arranged to pick up my bar and replace it with an official 45 pound York bar. 5 stars for them!
As for the plates, the precision was adequate except for the 5s, which weighed 4.5 pounds each. For me, that's poor precision for such a small plate. I contacted York, and they told me that they do not guarantee the precision of their... Read more
