Body solid functional trainer: 210, July 2, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Body Solid Functional Home Gym Weight Stack Training Center GDCC210 (Misc.) I bought this machine about 4 months after i had rotor cuff surgery and worked great for getting my shoulder back into shape. It was really easy to put together as long as you do not skip any steps. Before I bought this machine I had purchased about $1,000 I exercise equipment (benches, weights, dumbbells etc) and still could not do everything that this machine allows you to do. I also no longer use any of the equipment I had previously. It comes with a chart the lists some exercise but there is so much more you can do. I went out and bought a bench that adjust to 5 different angles and threw it between the machine and can now do chest and more back exercises. By the way if you do chest (incline, flat, decline, flies, etc) on the 210 It burns like crazy and targets the center, lower, upper, and outer part of your chest just by lifting at a slightly different angle. As the first reviewer said, you do not need any other resistance equipment if you own this functional trainer. Functional trainers strengthens your core and allows you to do multi-plane movements (up, down, across, backwards, forwards) like you do naturally. Natural movements are functional movements. Functional training is geared toward helping you to improve your ability to do the things you need or want to do in everyday life, such as reaching in a cabinet underneath a sink, hiking up a hill, swinging a golf club. This machine allows you to mimic and, therefore, improve your ability to do all of those functions. The weight stacks are heavy enough for the elite athlete, and you can buy a dual press bar at Fitness Factory (there are also lots of videos there that show various exercises) so that you can use it to do barbell type exercises, such as chest presses and squats.
