EXCELLENT QUALITY!!!, June 17, 2011 This review is from: Powertec Levergym Workbench (Sports) I bought this product at a local dealer. With all you get for the price I expected a half decent machine. I honestly have to say that this is a FINE piece of equipment. It took a few hours to put together. The instructions are vague. On carpet the bench is a little unsteady. Its fine on hard floor. My only regret is I should have bought this a long time ago.
If youre considering buying this for your workouts, do it! You'll love it!

Everything is so smooth and feels right. I found so much this bench does. For example using the squat attachment for seated calf raised which actually feel just as good as the seated machines I've used in the gyms. Squats feel better on here that anything I've ever tried, feels much smoother and feels better than a smith machine, its also nice to be able to move your hands in front of you while squatting as there are several places to grip. Having to start at the bottom of the squat is no biggie just different. Another great exercise is back rows, angling the bench up allows you to use the press arms to do heavy machine back rows while letting the bench support the torso and work the back shoulders by changing grip and keekeeping your elbows high and out to the sides.
Getting the powertec $300 remvable bench is a great feature too. It's a superb bench and being able to simple roll it out of the way and use it separately is pricless,(are... Read more

For what it cost to join a gym for a year, the Powertec gives you most of what you need to get a full workout at home. I find that having this piece of equipement in my house means I get to use it more since I don't have to waste time driving to the gym or waiting for other people to get off a machine that I want to use. Not to mention I don't have to deal with other people's sweat left on the machine or listen to their grunting.
In addition to the exercises shown on the Powertec website, I've found there are many more variations that can be done. You can seach YouTube for workout routines to get some ideas. For example, I bought a rope attachement which I connect to the upper or lower pully to do tricep rope pulldowns, rope hammer curls, ab crunches, and overhead tricep extensions. I also bought a V-bar for doing tricep cable pulldowns since those seem to give me a really good pump. Another... Read more
