First of all I will say it is well constructed. For hyper extensions at 45 degrees it is stable. But if you want to go 180 or flat not very stable. Forget situps this is strickly a back machine. Tried to do situps and flipped over. I can`t see why if you are interested in core fitness you would spend the money you can do better for less.Putting it together was easy about 45 mins by myself with my tools.I am thinking of returning it. I also have the Yukon roman chair which I use often and can do situps and extensions for 100 dollars less.

I have used the cybex hyperextension machines at the gym. and wanted to get something like that-but 700 for 1 equipment seems toomuch-. After much research found this product, but no reviews on it. So wasnt sure, i wanted something that was stable. My lower back gives me trouble, so wanted the best possible product. this is a great product. It does the regular 45 degree hyperextension, plus u can set various other angles to do different exercises. highly recommend it. at about 80 some pounds it has a heavy base which makes it very stable.
Now the bad... If you use the tools with it, you will defnitely need two people, and still take forever to assemble it. If you have your own tools you will probably assemble it in 30 mins.
But i gues to assemble a stable product it requires work. Overall it was defnitely worth it.

At the gym, I had discovered that hyperextensions alleviated my lower back problems and decided to purchase one for my home. After a week, I am very impressed with this model and recommend it highly. It has been very stable at all angles, and I have had no problems doing situps and crunches on it (I'm 6-ft, 235lbs). The only negatives (the reasons for 4/5 stars): 1) The parts were not packed securely for shipment and thus there were some deep scratches on various parts, and 2) it took a lot of effort to assemble because some of the bolt holes were difficult to line up; at one point, I had to partially disassemble and then reassemble it.
