Power rack w/weights, December 20, 2011 By  Reader 45 - See all my reviews This review is from: Power Rack & Olympic 300 Lbs Set (Misc.) I just put the rack together and tried it out and was delighted to find the rack was sturdy and could hold my 250 frame for pull-ups and at least 425 for squats. However, when I rack the weights the rack does move a little side-to-side but nothing of great concern as of yet. The height of the rack is not very tall and I did need to bend my knees a bit, I am 6'4'', to get a full stretch during my pull-ups. This, though, is fine and figure I traded some height for sturdiness with the rack. Not to mention the height of the rack makes it easier to fit in home gyms. The rack itself was easy to put together, as long as you have a ratchet set, and took me about 1.5 hours. Most of the time was laying everything out to make sure no pieces were missing (counting bolts, nuts, washers, etc). Overall, I think this is a great piece of home gym equipment and look forward to its future use. As to long lasting quality I can not attest at this time, obviously.
