Assembly: On a scale of 1 to 10, this product is about an 8, mostly due to weak assy instructions. Do not use the included allen wrenches, as they are not very good. Use a good quality 6mm allen, and you will also need a 16mm wrench. A 16mm socket and ratchet will make things go a lot quicker. DO NOT OVERTORQUE. These are thin wall components, and poor grade fasteners. This is just a sign of the times, and if you've put together other import devices, you already know this. Look at the pictures VERY carefully. The pictures are better than the written instructions. Have a ruler handy, since many bolts are almost the same length. You should probably use a light coat of grease on axle parts to improve movement and reduce rust. They say it takes 2 people, but one person can do it if you have a lot of working room in about 3-4 hours. There are two cables that are about the same length. The one for the top pulleys is the one with the threaded end... Read more

The press arms are welded so poorly that they are crooked and you wind up pushing toward one side. The seat's mounting holes are crooked so that the seat itself is pointing toward the other side. The seat frame is also not aligned with the frame so that the leg curl is 2" to the side. Also, it is not packed well inside the box and the pieces bang around causing chips and dings that make it look beat up.
I contact Marcy because my seat was torn during shipping and they said they would ship one out, but it never came. I emailed about touch up paint for the chips and they never responded. Horrendous customer service. I wound up sending it back for a full refund and am glad I did.
This is a cheap gym that only has a two year warranty, and believe me you'll be fortunate if it lasts that long. Save the money and put it toward a quality brand starting at around $800+. Yes it's... Read more

Great value, solid home gym, October 12, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Marcy Diamond 200 Pound Stack Home Gym (Sports) I searched quite a while for a quality gym but on a limited budget. This fit the bill perfectly and I was not disappointed. The weights and functionality are on a par with other gyms that retail at twice the price. The gym comes in four separate boxes and takes about four to six hours to assemble. Once assembled, its very solid, and feels good quality. The gym offers a good variety of exercises to do - everything I used to be able to do on the machines in my local gym when I was a member, with the exception of leg presses. Recommended.
